Love it. I'm a singer songwriter, I have a loop pedal :)

I remember hanging out with you when you were making the ad! Had a go at the drum section and everything. It's still a HIT

It’s always very interesting to hear the evolution of a song, album or musician. This is no exception.

Of course when I think of the carphone warehouse I mainly think of this routine from Stewart Lee: https://youtu.be/W2firijxQOo

Nice! Would be great to hear the solo version of this in D on Tell It To Me Straight Vol 2! Also what wizardry is producing the higher part that starts up around 0:23?

You prefer it in D? Interesting!

Re the high part is that on the v2 live demo? That’s just an acoustic part. They’re being layered with a loop pedal. I can show you in a video if you like?

I don't know if I prefer it in D, but I like both versions. Loop pedal makes sense!

So brilliant to hear the DNA and hooks from the original piece surviving and evolving through the interations. Great the original work didn't go to waste and survived to be one of my favourite tracks. The guitar percussion bit (middle-8?), stylophone and real up-beat drive of I Saw Something fits just perfectly before the calm of Reeling.

Car Phone Warehouse's loss, our gain.

That is much appreciated John. I sort of drifted away from this song for many years, was really nice to revisit it.

You're right Jake - they nailed it (though still think the stylophone - and yes, i remember the Christmas TV adverts for doesn't work ;-)!

Once again the first attempt through the development to the superb finished piece was great to hear about. Who needs carphone warehouse anyway?

Their loss our gain 👏🏻👏🏻😁

Are they even still around?! Thanks Richard!

If not it’s clearly due to poor judgment on their musical decisions 🤔😁
