I really loved this dive into the vaults Jakes - wow! Brilliant to hear the iterations and evolution of such a wonderful song. BTW, your YouTube tutorial of it brill too
Wow! I love that you have all these documented and could share this with us! I utterly loved this. I was not emotionally ready for number 2. So interesting to read about and hear this process. Thank you x
Great that you've put pen to paper on this Jake, and to hear the development of such a great track. Remember the first time we heard you play it live (St.Helens, Citadel I'm sure :-), though with brain fog could be wrong?!
What a wonderful exploration and explanation of a song that came from a sound. Next time, I'd love to hear an account of a song that emerged from lyrics. Many fish to fry, perhaps, esp as it has that interesting accordion and waltz tempo? PS my favourite lyric - "Yeah, I've got a laboratory." That's proper 4th wall stuff!

Thank you for this insight. I wish more artists would do the same. Brilliant.
Thanks for sharing the process, Jake. Really interesting to see the birth and evolution of one of my favourite tracks x
Absolutely love this process of you developing your track. Would love to hear the process on ‘ allegorical’ or ghostess.👌
Really fun to hear the evolution of this song. That final version is SO good.
Sorry Jake - didn't answer your last question. for me Inside My Mind, though Beth'd no doubt say Beautiful Shambles (based on her tattoo ;-)

Eurgh this was so amazing to follow the process. Thank you. Such an interesting insight! Especially as two songs came out of the original!
My vote will always and forever be for The Floods please :D
Happy touring!

Yes MFTF definitely started with a lyric:
"every life is a new way to die"
So is that a vote for Many Fish To Fry or Start Again?
Just want to be sure!
This time... MFTF please!
