Fascinating. A great insight and interesting to hear from the artists perspective. It’s the art of balancing the known songs with the ‘want to play’. I sometimes see a band I have seen several times before and there can be a feeling of disappointment if it feels too formulaic…….but then I still want to hear the same hits and live favourites!

I saw Bryan Adams about 4 years ago and was amazed when played ‘69’ at the 45 minute mark (I checked !). But it illustrated the depth in his repertoire and confidence in himself.

Songs I’d like to hear (Woodbridge and Winchester FYI)……….Solitude (should have been a hit!) and after that, anything! Looking forward to the shows.

Woahh solitude! Been a while on that one.... no guarantees but maybe I'll see what happens if I try to wrap my fingers around it again.

Your Bryan Adams story reminded me of when my old friend Colin Vearnecombe / Black played his mega hit Wonderful Life as the first or maybe second song in the set. The message was 'I am so much more than this song. If it's the only reason you're here then you've got what you came for. But how about you stick around and listen to all the other great songs I've written?'
