Brave New World by Kalandra.

Took me far too long to decide on one track, but I had this on repeat a lot last year. It still gives me goosebumps, and I think the rest of the album is beautiful.

I Am So Tired Of That Line, by Wallis Bird. Love this whole album but this is a classic example (for me) of when track 2 becomes my default start track for an album. Such a good beat, perfect for hitting play as you walk out the door and march off into your day! https://open.spotify.com/track/1etBJdXUgdyNx4Sj41bBS6?si=DR5IGANzSImRqUh5cTbgZg

Every night before bed, we have a routine with my 2 year old daughter, Suvi. The final piece (after reading two books of her choice) to this is playing some music. We always start with a Summertime cover by Billy Strings. She knows that it means the night is ending and she pretty much puts herself to bed after that. https://youtu.be/sl4ObkuhYlI

This is usually followed by 3-4 songs that vary each night depending on if she’s restless, but Summertime is always the starter song.

Currently listening to the album 'Follow The Leader' by Tom Williams, a singer songwriter based down in Hastings. Was released last summer but the lyrics to the opening track, 'Petrol Station', are very apt right now.

I just cooked with Simon & Garfunkel - ‘keep the customer satisfied’. I found myself singing and knowing all the words to the whole album, god knows what the neighbours thought or passers by the open window thought 😂 An oldie but a goodie.

Currently enjoying Fatso by Warmduscher. Just one of those randoms you hear on the radio and now I have it on repeat https://open.spotify.com/track/0IvQIjrZT6orErdAwAJSij?si=7338050626b84e43. Also heard glimpses of the new Tears for Fears album. Never was much of a fan in the 80's but now their songs are classics. Definitely going to be giving that a proper listen

I’ve just got into vinyl (very late to the game I know) so bought some classic albums I’ve had but always wanted on vinyl. Tom Misch- beat tape 2, Bon iver- Bon iver, unbreakable- james newton howard, james Horner the classics, and M83- hurry up we’re dreaming.

Edit: sorry I just saw that you asked for just one 🙈

Anyone who has accused me of using more words in a song than I should, wait til you meet Mathias Kom. Throw out any preconceptions you may have from the title, this is an irresistibly charming song from one of my absolute favourite bands. They have a new single out now, but this is the classic gateway track.
