Love this Jake!!! I get (to a small degree) the very minor negatives but the melody of the chorus is so powerful and great rythym, very danceable! Would have been great at the Temperance(no room to dance though!). Maybe next time? Keep doing what you do Jake. PS Jonny proffered Many fish to fry at Album Club. Proud dad moment!

You're crazy, mate! THIS gem of a song wasted away as an outtake?! This should have been at leasr a single & could've become a hit...

ahh funny how it goes.

Maybe this is one of the differences between more successful artists and less so? I ultimately couldn't face presenting a song that I didn't really feel anything about. The idea of singing it everywhere feels wrong to me.

It's not about whether the song is 'true' or not. Lots of songs aren't true in a factual way, but have emotional truth. We find meaning, we connect, or we do not. That doesn't take away from someone else's meaning. Often songs that mean very little to the writer mean everything to an audience. That's pop music.

It's also true that sometimes meaning develops / changes over time, songs get less or more meaningful. I could have grown to love it. We'll never know!

Anyway, so glad you like it!

I really like the recognition of it as a stepping stone to your music you did release! Cheers!

I think it's a great lyric, like Zeno's paradox. Or a zoetrope. Or all kinds of things. Very evocative

I love this song! I agree the music is wonderful and some of the lyrics are a bit too much trying to sound deep, but the key lyric is fabulous: something about you seems to whisper all and forever.
